[ They're just going to have a whole conversation while Estinien remains perched on the windowsill. This may as well happen, and Ardbert knows he only has himself to blame for being even a little baffled by it.
But of course, Estinien is looking for Aria. Which makes his decision to enter through her room even more suspicious, but with Estinien it's hard to guess at the reason behind anything he does. So maybe it means nothing.
Ardbert also realizes that it's not technically his business what Aria gets up to. ]
She isn't, sorry to say. She had a few things she wanted to do today. [ He can't remember what those things are off the top of his head. As odd as it had been for him at first when she was absent, he's slowly gotten used to it.
Either way, he digs his phone out of his pocket so he can send her a message. ]
... Would you like me to pass something on to her?
[ He considers the offer. Estinien's options are that he could either wait here for her, go and track her down, or do something else entirely. And though tracking Aria down has it's own draw, he's leaning towards the last option.
Besides, what message would he pass on? Tell Aria to return so we can fuck. You will need to occupy yourself elsewhere? He doesn't foresee that ending in success.
Especially with a man he has had little and less to do with. This is perhaps the second proper conversation they have had outside of 'Pass the soy sauce, please,' and 'Tell Aria she's on thin fucking ice.' It is clear the others know him, him being closer to some of their group than others, and it's clear that he is closest to Aria most of all. But seeing as how Estinien spends more time outside of the city than in it, and he gets the impression that Ardbert and Aria are very similar in that respect, so far all he can confidently say he knows about him is his name, and that he knows well how to use the axe he carries.
Estinien runs that thought back, and his gaze sharpens on the man in front of him as Ardbert types out a message to Aria.
Now there's an idea. And he is owed one, after all. ]
No need. You'll do instead. Go grab your axe; it's time you make good on your promise.
no subject
