[ The immediate response from Aria is an odd one, a brief moment of panic (is it panic?) that she seems to quickly recover from. It probably is for the best that Estinien doesn't want Ardbert to send anything along to her, as he falls into a back-and-forth exchange with her almost immediately, confusion mounting.
Not that he's going to be rude and ignore the person right in front of him. It's true that he and Estinien haven't had much occasion to interact after their first chat in the orchard. They've been at Scion gatherings at the same time, but even then, Ardbert's awkwardness and Estinien's taciturn nature means that they haven't exchanged more than a few words here and there.
Yet unlike with the twins, Ardbert doesn't sense that there's any baggage behind it. No, Estinien seems perfectly comfortable when it comes to his friendship with Aria, rather than feeling threatened by Ardbert's closeness to her.
But then that sharp look is pinned on him, and he realizes that this isn't going to be quite as smooth as he thought. ]
Promise...? Oh, right. [ They'd spoken of a spar, all those moons ago, and yet it had never come to fruition. In that sense, Estinien's been rather patient, though Ardbert also hadn't realized that he was still waiting for the time when they could cross steel. ] Well, I suppose now is as good a time as any. Though... where would you want to do this?
[ He moves back into the the living area so that he can retrieve his axe (and also, perhaps, finish his meal). It's up to Estinien if he wants to follow him. ]
[ He does finally get down from the window, removing his lance so that it doesn't gouge holes in the walls or the doorway as he follows Ardbert through the apartment. For a moment he wonders if Ardbert plans to slip away somehow; his enthusiasm for their fight is somewhat lacking. Estinien knows that if someone showed up at his window and invited him out to fight his response wouldn't include the words Oh right and I suppose.
Seeing, however, that Ardbert heads back to the living room such that he might return to his meal, Estinien is more understanding. He too would postpone a fight in order to finish his meal. Though Ardbert's meal does look a little... lacklustre. ]
Last we spoke you mentioned the Dome. But there are plenty of place out in the Fringes where we might fight freely.
